“You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself.”
― Galileo
This quote from Galileo holds true – and it is the reason I love helping people like you find a way out of the crossroads. If you are seeking a new way to manage your career, build better relationships, or have more work-life balance, I get you. I do! Because I have been you.
Here is a little about my path and why I am uniquely qualified to help you.
Corporate-World Me
I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and jumped into the business world with the goal of making a difference to the people of those organizations. My goal to make a difference has never changed! Completing a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology deepened my work and strengthened my goal commitment.
I went from advising executives and teams to finding the right employees for the job, to helping them discover how to develop those employees and foster their career growth to become better engaged, productive, and happy in their work and life.
I designed strategies and led initiatives that positively impacted the people of organizations through transformative learning opportunities, global technology solutions, talent acquisition methodologies, and more.
It was exciting, fulfilling work that made a difference in the lives of thousands of employees. I was affecting big systems and corporate strategies that eventually affected these individuals; however, I felt something was missing.
Caregiver Me
There came a time during my corporate career that I had to take family leave. It was during this time that I spent many hours thinking about my own future and what my own purpose might be. I came to realize that my gifts lie in working directly with people, helping to solve problems, and find new directions.
That reflection led me to shift my own career focus to becoming an executive coach and clinical career counselor. I leveraged my talent acquisition experience to demystify the job world for my clients, and I helped many people find fulfilling careers.
It quickly became apparent that my clients could not segregate career concerns from the rest of their life issues. I began to understand the framework I now call “The Connected Life.”
I then realized that I wanted to learn more about emotional behavior management to help people in every aspect of their lives.
Clinical Counselor Me
Following this new path, I returned to school for a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While I pursued my clinical education, I began my graduate assistant work as a clinical counselor on-campus at both private and state universities. Since then, I have continued working with college students and career professionals on making positive transitions in their jobs and lives.
That brings us to today, where I now offer a complete package of coaching, counseling, and therapy to help you move forward in every aspect of your Connected Life.
